Jay Nash

His first single, "Wayfarer," is impeccable evidence of Jay Nash's straightforward but genuine philosophy on music and songwriting. His album, 'The Things You Think You Need' due to be released May 20th, is a collection of 10 reflective songs that include appearances by Sara Bareilles , David Immergluck and Charlie Gillingham of Counting Crows. Its words and melodies evoke moods and thought without blueprints or songwriting formulas.
On "Wayfarer" Jay finds himself skillfully narrating the story of a relationship's push/pull aspect in a way that is thoughtful and emotionally raw in sound and lyric:

"You're a wayfarer
You're a vagabond girl
But you hate to get lost in the crowd
I will wait for you
To know what you want from me
We've still got some time"
